Thrift Share - Sippin' on the Dock of the Bay

I'm dreaming of a lakeside cabin, "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay", and drinking the day away.  

Fishing poles by my side with these Glass Floats & Bobbers adding a just a touch of Vintage charm.

Though I don't know much about about Glass Floats, there are several websites dedicated to collecting them.  I believe these are hand blown and they are stamped NW with Pat Pend and a serial number on the bottom thats very hard to make out.  They were all in a box at a garage sale the other day for a whopping $3.  I couldn't resist the color and beauty of of the glass, and the vintage cork & wood floats were in the box too!

At the same yard sale, I picked up this pretty Walnut Tray by Vermillion.

It was never used, and still wrapped in the original plastic.  The handles swivel for easy storage & carrying & it has pretty little feet on the bottom.  Just perfect for carrying my drinks to the dock to waste the day away!

Though I'm sure my weekend will not include a lakeside cabin or fishing, I sure can hope for the day.

Thrift Share - This and That

I've come across a few fun things here and there over the past few weeks.  What do you think?

I just adore this Cartier Change Purse.  After my recent visit to Europe I recognize the importance of a proper place to stash my coins...so I'm keeping this one for myself.

It's a beautiful black leather with Gold accents & I'd guess it's circa 1960s or 1970s's.  Anyone know?

I almost walked away from this fun Couroc Ice Bucket.  It was all taped up at the Salvation Army so I couldn't peek inside.  In addition it was way overpriced.  Is it me, or are all of Salvation Army's in SoCal way overpriced?  When I walked it to the register however, the sales clerk gave me a deal so I decided to roll the dice.  There is a small crack on the bucket liner, but I think it's still ok.

"Printing Outfit Superior: The Little Printer"  is a pretty neat little vintage Letterpress Printing Set.  It contains all of the letters, typeholders, tools and more to bring any typesetting project into reality.

It would be perfect for artist and crafters young & old...and it's already made it's way into my Etsy shop.

As you probably know by know, I'm crazy for art books & love finding new additions for my library...this Goodbye Picasso book by David Douglas Duncan is pretty great.
